Wayanad is a hill station that is rich in history and cultural heritage apart from wildlife and nature. Several sources of history claim that life existed in this quaint destination as far back as the New Stone Age Civilization. Later on, it was ruled by the Rajas of the Vedas and Pazhassi Maharajahs of Kottayam. Eventually, it was ruled by Tipu Sultan. There are several spots that highlight Wayanad’s rich and varied culture and history.
