If you have always wanted to explore this popular travel destination, consider planning a quick trip with your loved ones. To make your travel hassle-free and memorable, we’ve shared some practical tips below to help you fasten your travel preparations. So let’s head to the tips shared below.

Prepare a Customized Itinerary

Singapore is a vast country and offers multiple sightseeing attractions and activities for travellers with varied interests. Hence, it becomes essential to include only those places and activities in your itinerary that align with your liking and interest.

You can take inspiration from detailed itineraries prepared by other travellers, but you should not entirely copy them. If you want your Singapore trip to be a fun-filled one, pick out the things and places of your preference and curate a customised travel itinerary.

Book Your Flight Tickets & Accommodation Online

Once you’ve finally decided what places you want to explore and activities you want to partake in when in Singapore, it’s time to take the next important step. You should immediately head to a travel website to book flight tickets and accommodations.

Before making the final booking, you can always look for available discount deals or coupons that can lower your accommodation and flight tickets. If you’re planning to travel soon, you may have to pay a higher price for both, but it will be worth the experience.

Apply for the Tourist Visa

Indians travelling to Singapore must have a valid visa to enter the country. You can get it by applying for a Singapore visa for Indians at the Embassy of Singapore in India. The tourist visa allows the person to stay in Singapore for 30 days. This visa is valid for 2 years, making it a multi-entry permit. The number of days, however, is restricted to 30 days per approved visa.

Prior to arrival in Singapore, travelers are required to fill out an sg arrival card online, a mandatory immigration document, declaring personal details, travel history, and intended address in Singapore, ensuring a smoother immigration clearance process.

Since visa approval is not instant, you should apply for it at least two months before the travel date. You will also have to attach the hotel and flight booking details with the visa application, so make sure you apply right after booking your flight and accommodation.

Consider Investing in a One Card System

If you’re travelling the country intending to explore most places, you should invest in a good travel pass. Singapore has a well-organized and extensive transit system to facilitate smooth commutes for locals and tourists. In Singapore, you can find various travel passes that will make your commute easier and faster. The One Card System, for example, should be used as it covers all the transportation costs under a single pass.

You can also look for a one-day pass that allows you to travel across Singapore for free. It can save you a considerable amount of time and also some money. But while purchasing the passes, double-check the transport modes and places covered under each pass. For example, these passes might not work on Sentosa Island since it has its own transit system and requires a different pass.

Book Activities & Sightseeing Tickets Online

If you’re travelling in the off-season, you may not find rush and long lines before ticket counters of sightseeing attractions and activity centres. But things can be entirely different if you’re visiting Singapore during the travel season.

You should book sightseeing and activity tickets online if you want to save time by skipping the long ticket lines. Multiple travel websites online facilitate smooth bookings for top Singaporean touristic places and Dubai Combos and offer good discounts.

Look for Available Travel Deals & Coupons

Everyone wants to save a little on their travel bookings to use the saved amount elsewhere during the trip. Fortunately, everyone can avail of a discount on their flight and accommodation bookings if they give enough time searching for the right deals and coupons.

A detailed online search is enough to find reliable websites offering coupons and discount deals. But if you want a reliable discount and coupon site, join relevant travel groups, communities, and forums online, seeking unbiased recommendations.

Invest in an International Travel Insurance

Buying travel insurance is not mandatory to travel to Singapore, but getting secured under it helps ensure a peaceful travel experience. Even though Singapore is a safe travel destination, baggage theft has been reported over the years.

If you don’t want to incur financial losses due to events like baggage and passport theft, missed flight, change in travel date, a medical emergency in Singapore, etc., getting covered under travel insurance for Singapore from India is a sound solution. You can get it from any popular insurer offering generous coverage at a competitive cost.

Pick a Guided Tour if you have a fixed number of travel days

Solo exploration requires a good amount of time at hand. But if your traveling days are numbered, you won’t be able to explore much. In such cases, it is best to choose a group guided tour where your only job will be to enjoy and learn more about the places the guide takes you to. Such tours generally cover the most popular tourist destinations, and some can cover offbeat locations too. It all depends on your selection of the tour package. If you want to see more in less time, stick to guided tours, not solo explorations.
